Carlisle is most often recognized for producing the large service and
park brakes for heavy duty mining trucks. Although we’re proud
of the proven track record our brake systems have established in satisfying
these very demanding applications, we now address a much wider range
of applications. Our current customer list reflects leading manufacturers
in industries ranging from agriculture to recreational vehicles to towed
equipment. The braking systems we design for the applications shown
at right vary from small, low torque units to some of the largest vehicular
brakes ever manufactured. In short, if it moves, we can help you stop
it.
Friction Products
Although passenger cars and on-highway trucks come to mind when thinking
about brakes and clutches, friction materials usually play a key role
in almost everything that starts and stops. Carlisle Industrial Brake
& Friction is a specialty manufacturer that makes friction products
for virtually everything except on-highway vehicles. Our product applications
run from very small parts for washing machines and lawn mowers, to flight
bars that are 35 feet long, and the world’s largest molded friction
gear tooth facings that are 62 inches in diameter and 3 inches thick.

Since 1953, Kenro Incorporated has been molding products for the appliance,
food service, lighting, and electrical markets.
