Description |
| |
| The Carlisle SCL10 series brake is a combination, service and park, dual opposed piston, caliper disc brake designed for dynamic and static applications. One set of opposed pistons is a spring applied, hydraulically released (SAHR) park brake while the other set of opposed pistons is a hydraulically actuated service brake. Both the caliper and disc require fixed mountings. This brake provides medium torque ranges for moderate to severe service conditions. Multiple calipers may be used on a single disc to proportionately increase torque output. |

English Units* Service Brake Torque (lbf-in) = K × Input Pressure (psi) × Disc Friction Radius (in) Disc Friction Radius (in) = Disc Diameter (in) ÷ 2 – 1.38 in K (Dynamic) = 3.56 Park Brake Torque (lbf-in) = 5500 lbf × Disc Friction Radius (in) Disc Friction Radius (in) = Disc Diameter (in) ÷ 2 – 1.25 in
*Torques calculated are based on dry friction coefficient and optimum lining break-in. |
