The Carlisle SCL8 series brake is a combination, service and park, dual opposed piston, caliper disc brake designed for dynamic and static applications. One set of opposed pistons is a spring applied, hydraulically released (SAHR) park brake while the other set of opposed pistons is a hydraulically actuated service brake. The service brake is also available with retracting springs and automatic adjusters, ideal for high speed applications. Both the caliper and disc require fixed mountings. This brake provides medium torque ranges for moderate to severe service conditions. Multiple calipers may be used on a single disc to proportionately increase torque output.
Application
Underground shuttle vehicles
Pavement profilers
